In no particular order as I'm not good with keeping past events to exact days....
- I bought a new car. An 08 Focus. I'm probably never going to buy a brand new car ever again as new cars seem to take a beating quick.
- We adopted a dog from a rescue/foster home. Her name is Shelby, and really is a good dog. Shelby learned house training fairly easy. Although she goes nuts when you leave her home alone. Countless mini-blinds, pairs of shoes, Easter candy, barbie dolls...the list is endless with her being ticked off for being left home alone. She picked up quick when it came to sit, shake, lay down, off ect... But we do cage her when we leave now.
- We took a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. Tim and I have been to Myrtle Beach several times since 2006, and in 2008 we took the kids. They had a blast swimming, boogie boarding, seeing shows and being suprised that Grandma and Pa met us there the next day.
- Tim and I went to Niagra Falls, Canada for our 2 year anniversary. The falls are amazing! I think it should be on everyones top 10 list to see.
- We had more than our fair share of battles with the kids' mom and step dad. To many to mention and that many ridiculous.
- I learned a lot about Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, as it hit close to home with the youngest of us five kids. Hopefully, the outlook stays looking up-beat and good.
- 08 seemed to be the year of health issues for our families. Prostate cancer, Lymphoma, appendicitis, diabetic, infections.. just a lot of hospital visitations going on. Hospitals were looking to be "home away from home".
- A new niece to report on my side of the family. Emily was born 10/22/08 weighing in at 6lbs 13 ounces and 19 inches long.
- My farther in law passed away 11/21/08.
- I finally seen the light about my Dad. I'd go into details, but seriously...it would bore you.
