Crazy days!

It's been a wild few days in my world lately. My step-son TJ, is 16 years old. Tj, is epileptic. He has what they call "staring seizures". Nothing like the typical grandma seizures that people think of when you say someone is epileptic. He will stop dead in his tracks, freeze completely in whatever he is doing, and his eyes will roll back and Tj will mumble words that can't be made out. We have to really watch TJ becasue if he has a slight fever at all... the seizures will come out more and more and eventually he will have the grandma seizure.

He wasn't feeling to good on Saturday night, then again on Sunday. He was having one seizure right after another and couldn't stay awake. We ended up taking TJ to Children's ER room. We needed a wheelchair to get him inside. They put him in the critical unit of the ER room with oxygen. In the end TJ was dehydrated and has strept throat. He had to stay the night at Childrens'. The drs. changed his seizure medication from 2000mg to 3000mg a day, and gave him a shot of penicillin. He is feeling better today but his appetite has yet to come back. He got to come home the next day.

Monday, was my birthday. Yay me! Not really because every year I dread a higher number. I keep telling myself that 34 isn't so bad. We didn't really do anything for my birthday becasue coming home from the hospital everyone was exhausted and chilled and took naps.

Tuesday, I was dead to the world from lack of sleep. The work day seemed to never end, and I got slammed with so much to get done because of the holiday.

5 o'clock came.. and the day just got worse from there.

My husband and I car pool to work and then when he gets off he comes back and gets me at 5. Well on Tuesday, he pulled into the parking lot and was driving along and some lady was driving like she was going to a fire. She failed to stop at a stop sign and she also drove across the corner of the parking lot. My husband hit her car.

When i got to them, the girl was on her cell phone. She asked us if we called the police. I called the sheriff and the city police.. but of course private property they don't respond. So then the company security guys come out and they both have to fill out forms tellign what happened. She kept saying "I stopped", and "my neck hurts". We ignored her.. but the security guys just looked at her and said.. "the video surveilance will show.

We went home, called our insurance company, then I called her insurance company. Her insurance company returned my call a little while later and asked my husband a few questions. At the end of the call, her insuance company told him to get a rental and where ever we wanted to get it repaired was fine with them. She really changed her story about it being Tim's fault. She was probably thinking about what the video would show.

A little while later TIm had an appointment to ge tthe mustang looked at. So we call the place for directions. We went driving around for what seemed an enternity... I ended up calling this place three times because we couldn't locate them. ( I should note, that the place isn't far from our home, and we assumed we would see a sign for the business) On the third call.. the guy tells me that I am really close to them.. thank god!. Then he tells me to turn into an apartment complex. I say, "Your business is in an apartment complex? wtf? He says, yes me'em, for right now if its OK with you until we get our business up and running... LOLOL seriously? I played along with the guy.. and told him OK we know were you are. I got out of my car and walked to my husband behind me and told him. We went straight home. Tim's words.. " ain't no way I'm taking my car to an apartment complex and have it sitting outside for some west side hoods to strip down"
The guy tried to call my cell phone a little while later and left a voice mail.. I erased the message. He probably wonders why we didn't show up.

These people have a very professional website... they just don't have the professional building to work on the cars.

Wednesday, I went to work and sent an e-mail to the loss prevention guys and requested a copy of the video. ( hoping and praying they didn't already erase it) With-in minutes I had the video footage in my inbox. That lady is a crazy driver! From the video, before she connected with our car, she made a U-turn in the parking lot and almost hit another car. Then it showed her speeding through the parking lot cutting the corner and not stopping at the stop sign then connecting with our car.

Just before I got the footage, my insurance guy called me to say that he contacted her insurance company and they are accepting full liability. Good thing because I was ready to forward the video clip.

Thursday, I parked my car in the visitors section out in front of the office, because the other insurance company said they were gonna come out and take a look see. They never came. So when I got home I called them to tell them that I want my car fixed at a FORD dealership... not a dealership that does everything. My car is under warranty, and I'm afraid if I have it repaired at any place that my warranty will be void for whatever reason down the road. The lady says.. you said you wanted to take it to "such and such" place... I say well I didnt' knwo that it was my choice to take it any place that I wanted to take it to be repaired, I just picked "such and such" place because you gave me a list and I picked. She says.. well OK yes you can take it to whatever place you choose to take it. ( i talked to a few of the guys at work and was told it's my choice since it was the crazy drivers fault.) I really think this lady thought I was stupid.

So we have an appointment tomorrow evening at a dealership. We have the car rental set up, just have to wait for the dealership to tell me when to have my car to them. CRAZY!!!!
