The exercising routine is coming along great. Yesterday, I started off with some basic core strengthening moves. Also, I'm not sure what they are called but I laid down on the floor with legs straight out and lifted my legs about 6-8 inches off the floor and held it for 5 seconds each time. After the 5 seconds I bent my legs and brought my knees to my chest. I did this 20 times! It doesn't seem hard when you think about it...but its not easy! After about 30 minutes of stretching and core moving.. I got myself on the treadmill. The treadmill for me is like the most boring mundane thing to ever do. I just hate it. I started out slow. Then I picked it up to a brisk walk. After about 5 minutes of this I stepped it up to a run for about 2 minutes..back to the brisk walk...then repeat. I have to say doing it this way is much better. I remembered to take my MP3 with me this time and the music made me want to do even more.
After all that I did the elliptical machine. Now granted I don't set the machine on the highest of levels...I've worked up to a 4 so far. I even set the arm blaster. And I am finally getting in one mile in under 10 minutes. After a brief stretch out I went back to the treadmill for a slow walk to cool down.
My eating habits this week are "fair". Its been challenging to say the least, with the snacking at work. I get bored...even-though I have tons of things to do at work. I'm trying to stay away from all the junk, but again another work in progress.
