The new me...

Alot has been going on in my world these days. I'm thankfull that I'm finally back to work after 6 weeks of leave due to elbow surgery. The walls seem to start closing in on you after being home so much. But anyhow, I'm back to work and I have a new position. I've been working in the warehouse for 10 years. Ten years of back breaking, filthy duties. I was awarded a position in the corporate offices. HUGE change from what I was doing to earn a living. It's more of a "culture" shock to me though. I've not had to care what I've looked like when I went to work in the warehouse. Jeans and t-shirt was the sure thing. But now, It's all about looking nice and dressing for success. something that I'm not used to. I was really worried and scared before I started the new position. I had no idea what business casual was! I've learned that black and khaki dress pants go a really looooong way in an office for anyone. So, its been a week and a half that I've been working the new position, and I've learned tons of things. Some things I learned in my short stint of college...so I'm having to dig my brain a bit to remember. Everyone seems really nice in the office. I miss the gang from the warehouse quiet a bit. Something that I've been learning is attitudes. WOW!
